I spent a considerable amount of time choreographing pretty terrible dance routines in the middle of the school playground in between the ages of 10 and 13. None of my dances were quite as good as the kids in this video by FIona Burgess of alt-pop four-piece Woman’s Hour. Directed in a secondary school, I was a little hesitant that the concept might be a bit to twee, but this is vid is so great on so many levels. In Stillness We Remain was shot at Queen Katherine School in Kendal, which Fiona and bandmates Will Burgess and Nicholas Graves all attended. The awkward teen dancing is both cringe-worthy and endearing, and it’s got a nice sleek and simplistic aesthetic that makes middle school seem much more "in touch" then I ever remember it being. Dunkaroos anyone? -C
