The High Ends and The Wooden Sky are two lusciously beautiful music makers who when combined, make the perfect fall concert stop for anyone not yet ready to let go of those summer time vibes. The High Ends (the brain child of Yukon Blonde frontman Jeffrey Innes) are touring with The Wooden Sky throughout Western Canada in September and October. The two bands compliment each other well, both playing a unique brand of dichotomous indie music that simultaneously lifts you up while grinding you back down to reality.
Described by Stereogum as having a "retro-futuristic sound that’s hard to pin down but easy to enjoy" Jeffery Innes as the High Ends will be playing some tracks from his not yet released debut album Super Class on the tour. Check out some tracks from both camps below and make sure to catch them at one of their many stops this fall. I can personally say, both Yukon Blonde and the Wooden Sky put on transcendental live performances, and the dingier the place you see them in the better. I can only expect the same from these two troupes. For more info about tour dates click here. -C
