Klangarussell. Get into them now. One part Tobias Rieser, one part Adrian Held - these two mellifluous (yea google dictionary that shit) Germans from Salzburg are dominating. If your not on board yet, just listen to “Sonnentanz” - direct translation - “Summer Dance” and you’ll be converted:
K so real talk. This next Klangkarussell track “Netzwerk”, made me reflect a lot on life. This song features Osho, an Indian guru who has garnered an international following with his teachings on spirituality, love and meditation. In this song Osho speaks of the duality between love and fear and he states “love and hate are just two sides of the same coin. But with love, something, very drastic has happened.”
Osho viewed the mind as a mechanism for survival, replicating behavioural strategies that have proven successful in the past. But the mind’s appeal to the past, he said, deprives humans of the ability to live authentically in the present, causing them to repress genuine emotions and to shut themselves off from joyful experiences that arise naturally when embracing the present moment: “The mind has no inherent capacity for joy. …It only thinks about joy.” The result is that people poison themselves with all manner of neuroses, jealousies, and insecurities. He argued that psychological repression, makes suppressed feelings re-emerge in another guise, and that sexual repression resulted in societies obsessed with sex. (*Note: a lot of those ideas were taken from Wikipedia…and we all know that everything you read on the internet is basically true).
K so Osho states in “Netzwerk” that capitalism is “afraid or your authentic love, because authentic love is beyond their control. You are possessed by it. You are not the possessor, you are the possessed. And every society wants you to be in control. The society is afraid of your wild nature, its is afraid of your naturalness, so from the very beginning it starts cutting your wings. And the most basic thing which is dangerous in you is the possibility of love, because if you are possessed by love, you can go even against the world”.
That shit is deep. Listen to it a few times. Think about it, reflect on it. Damn those Germans are next level. Do you agree with Osho…and Klangarussell? Feedback and thoughts are welcome…
