Calgary-born/Toronto-based multi-instrumentalist and singer, Lowell will make her homecoming debut in Calgary at the Sled Island festival on June 20 performing with The Besnard Lakes and again on June 22 with The Jesus And Mary Chain and more. Lowell is similar in sound and attitude to Lykke Li and Austra, and her live shows are not to be missed. She uses looping pedals to create a strong tribal percussion beat where she layers on her beautiful choral vocals. Sled Island will be the first time that Lowell performs in her hometown of Calgary since recording her debut album "If You Can, Solve This Jumple" with European supergroup Apparatjik. The first two singles “Shake Him Off” and “Kids” have gained British national airplay on BBC Radio 1. So be sure to get your Sled tickets to check out this talented lady!
