In what is an already stacked EP, Brooklyn synth-pop trio Little Daylight latest release in an impressively beach ready tune, that fits perfectly with what we've already heard from the band. Although less anthemic than their previous releases like Overdose and Glitter and Gold, Name in Lights is a breezier, happier tune. Little Daylight is a welcome addition to a somewhat over-saturated genre, but their beach pop tunes carry a more believable weight to them then some of their counterparts like Beach House or Cut Copy. These guys are all about their live shows-they make music to play to the fans in a live and interactive environment, not just for you to sit there and listen on your headphones. These guys really know how transcendent seeing one of your favourite bands play your favourite songs live can truly be, and they seek to make every live show as engaging and creative as possible.
Their debut EP, Tunnel Vision is available August 6th. I think it might take this Little Daylight into the Big Times.
Ha. See what I did there?
