Here are two new(ish) artists courtesy of the always trustworthy KEXP Seatlle. Owned and operated by the University of Washington in partnership with MIcrosoft co-founder Paul Allen'sExperience Music Project, KEXP has a history of delivering some of the best live recordings of contemporary indie and alternative artists. Today we have Belgian Fog, a quirky electronic pop- with a semi serious undertone similar to the XX or Foster the People. The work of LA native Robert Dale, Belgian Fog, uses electronic and lo-fi elements, to evenly blend his "pastiche-pop arrangements with a strong vocal presence and create effortlessly addictive and dark music". Below is his first release "Wait for Help".
The second offering from KEXP is the dream pop duo Lemolo, comprised of Meagan Grandall and Kendra Cox, who bonded over their love of music as Kayaking instructors off of the waters of Poulsbo, Washington. Named one of the “Best New Seattle Bands” by Seattle Magazine, Lomolo's music is heartfelt and leaves you aching for more with their sumptuous lyrics and sweeping melodies.
Thanks to our friend and resident artistic genius Taylor, for the introduction to these lovely ladies and who's musical taste is rivaled only by his perfectly tasseled blonde locks- you sir, are wonderful. Here is Lemolo's full performance live on KEXP that demonstrates how talented these ladies truly are.
Happy Friday everyone!
