Maybe you visited the quaint Shire of Noosa on one of your Australian adventures up the Sunshine Coast. Or maybe this is the first time you've heard of the sun-soaked Aussie destination. Either way, the sights and sounds of this tropical locale seem to permeate every ounce of its essence, Which is also why Noosa- the electro pop group inspired by the Australian Oasis, seems to make such authentically happy music. It is impenetrably gleeful music, but with enough lyrical resonance that the music never strays into that treacly pop music genre. The music has a good balance of grandeur and innocence, and is a great mid-afternoon pick me up. I love the latest single, Sail. Hope you enjoy it! C
Last Wednesday night at Commonwealth, Ladywood had the chance to get up close and personal with RÜFÜS DU SOL. These talented boys not only have amazing energy that got the whole place jumping and dancing, but there is this playfulness and charm about them that is refreshing to watch and enthralling to be around. RÜFÜS DU SOL is one month into their four month "almost" world tour and I highly suggest you go check em out - they will not disappoint. Ladywood is excited to see these boys blossom because we know big things are in store for them! Read the interview to find out what Tyrone's favourite candy bar is or to find out who wins in an arm wrestle between Jon and James. Enjoy :) *All photo credit goes to Phil Crozier - thanks! I will never pass up an opportunity to post about the lovely Ellie Goulding. Here is another sweet remix of Ellie's track "How long will I love You" by J-Art & Madan. It's a charming take on the british pop starlets lyrically simple yet multifaceted track. Just some happy background music to end your day too. -C
New Album: I Never Learn.

Hannah is excited.
I'm digging this cover of this Tears for Fears classic. Bear Mountain has been consistently producing really engaging music for a few years now and I hope 2014 brings them the larger scale they deserve. Enjoy! -C
