Maybe you visited the quaint Shire of Noosa on one of your Australian adventures up the Sunshine Coast. Or maybe this is the first time you've heard of the sun-soaked Aussie destination. Either way, the sights and sounds of this tropical locale seem to permeate every ounce of its essence, Which is also why Noosa- the electro pop group inspired by the Australian Oasis, seems to make such authentically happy music. It is impenetrably gleeful music, but with enough lyrical resonance that the music never strays into that treacly pop music genre. The music has a good balance of grandeur and innocence, and is a great mid-afternoon pick me up. I love the latest single, Sail. Hope you enjoy it! C
I will never pass up an opportunity to post about the lovely Ellie Goulding. Here is another sweet remix of Ellie's track "How long will I love You" by J-Art & Madan. It's a charming take on the british pop starlets lyrically simple yet multifaceted track. Just some happy background music to end your day too. -C
Considering how I'm definitely carrying around some extra winter padding, Mr. Little Jeans seems like a pretty apropos name for my fashion sense right now.
Or maybe "Miss Jeans too Tight" would be better. Either way, take a listen to this excruciatingly talented group of musicians making music right now under the pseudonym, Mr. Little Jeans. The soundcloud playlist below is a mere tidbit of the groups musical talent. My favourite track of the bunch is their cover/reinterpretation of TLC's Waterfalls , but you may recognize Oh Sailor , from our fav music sharing site- Hype Machine where its been getting some serious traction. Make sure to check us out and follow all of our ladywood worthy hypem tracks there! Hope you like Mr. Little Jeans. I'm now going to go spend a few moments day-dreaming about sandy beaches and crop tops. Damn you winter weight!! Damn you. - C
Not only is Brooklyn-based Tei Shi stunning, she’s also incredibly talented. After releasing her Saudade EP back in November, this Vancouver raised artist is starting to make her mark.
Most recently Lil Sad jumped on her track “Nevermind the End” and gave it a little added bite.
Also, check out her music video for M&M’s.
Listen close cause I’m sure this isn’t the last you’ll hear from this Canadian-Colombian beauty.
